Traps alone don't work if the entry points stay open — our Santa Monica, CA crew seals the building envelope while removing what's already inside. Beyond droppings and noise, chewed wiring and insulation damage are real risks we flag during every inspection.

Exclusion is the permanent fix — trapping without sealing just clears the current population while leaving the door open for the next one.
Dry sweeping droppings can release airborne particles; it's safer to let the crew handle cleanup with the right protective equipment.
Most single-family homes take one visit for trapping and sealing, with a follow-up 1-2 weeks later to confirm no new activity.

Pet food left out, compost piles, and gaps around utility lines are frequent culprits we flag during inspection. It's also worth checking your attic access panel and garage door seal periodically, since those are common secondary entry points we find during follow-ups.
A technician who traps and seals in one visit beats a cycle of traps that never quite finish the job.
